THE Best Skincare Routine

About 3 years ago, I was in and out of the gym 2-3 days a week (full sweat mode every time), and if I wasn’t in the gym, I was outside running. As you can imagine, my skin wasn’t particularly thrilled with me constantly sweating and being in the elements. So I promptly headed to my dermatologist to figure out what the deal was.

It turned out that my skin is very sensitive to certain washes and moisturizers, and despite all the sweat that was happening, my skin had a dryness problem too. So my doctor told me that I should try caring for my face with non-comedogenic, hypo-allergenic products. He particularly recommended Cetaphil.

Y’all. This stuff is about as basic as it gets. But hear me when I say, I have NEVER had a full on breakout since I started using the Daily Facial Cleanser and Daily Facial Moisturizer.  The best part is, it’s budget friendly.

Now, my skin also needs a good exfoliant at least once every two days. Since the wash is so simple, my face really began to need a good way to exfoliate. However I was already a little apprehensive to just try anything with my sensitive skin. BUT a few months ago, I was introduced to Norwex, a company that makes chemical-free cleaning products.  You can find out more about them here but basically they have this thing called the Body Cloth. Because of it’s fibers and weave, it makes the perfect exfoliating cloth without being too harsh.

So now that y’all have allllll the info, here’s how I keep my face free and clear of breakouts despite the daily sweat sessions!

Wet the Norwex cloth with warm water. Wipe face to remove any make-up or dirt (it works better than the make-up remover cloths!).

Take one pump of the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser and cleanse face. Rinse with warm water.

Use one pump of the Cetaphil Daily Moisturizer to moisturize the skin.

Here are links to each of the products in case you want to try it out!

This routine literally changed the game for my skin. I rarely even get spots on my face. Like I said, this is all for sensitive skin, so if you’re looking for a new skincare routine, give this a try!
